ABOUT THE AUTHOR Hello and welcome to my portfolio. My name is Boyan Dobrev and I am professor and Ph. D. at the Mural Department of the National Academy of Fine Art in Sofia, Bulgaria . I have an extensive background in classical art and its techniques but my real love is digital art. It started 25 years ago. I have been awarded two Fulbright scholarships: The first ( 1997-1998) was at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Chicago, IL, and the second (2007) at CalArts, Valencia, California. There I conducted a class in Interactive Multimedia. Currently, I work in the field of multimedia, graphic design, installations and paintings. My main focus is on digital murals which perform an important social function. Therefore, for each digital realization I apply a specific technique. I am available for freelance work and will be happy to create a digital mural for your hotel, office, restaurant, home, or any architectural site.
